   Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re still not sold on our music studio or you need help choosing which services are best for you, we’ve compiled a list of the questions we get asked the most by our clients below. Hopefully you’ll find the answers you’re looking for. But if not, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re happy to help.

How long are the lessons?

Lessons are either 30 minutes (Bronze), 45 minutes (Silver) or 60 minutes (Gold) depending on the plan you choose to enroll in.  Lessons are on the same time and day every week.

Can I watch my child’s lesson?

Absolutely. We encourage parents to be involved in the learning process. You are welcome to sit outside and watch your child’s lesson through our full glass door or sit in. All of our rooms are monitored.

What is the right age to start music lessons?

The right age to start can vary from student to student.  We generally do not accept students under 3 years of age due to the social and physical limitations needed to play an instrument. We do offer alternative general music cirriculum for ages 5 and below. This alternative cirriculum for this age range focuses on ear training, rhythym, recognizing instruments and learning concepts such as melody.  The best way to determine if your student is ready for the commitment is to sit in on the trial lesson.

Which instrument should my child be introduced to music lessons with?

For the most part we suggest your child pick an instrument that they are naturally drawn to.  With younger students however size and dexterity should be taken into account.  For many students 5 and up, piano and drums are great optionns. Piano develops a fundamental basis for music. These skills can be applied to many other instruments. Drums focuses on developing time management skills, rhytym, and cordination.

How long does it take to learn?

Every student learns and progresses at their own pace.  Music is a lifelong hobby, students and players of every level can always learn new things.  The key to learning quickly is to regularly attend lessons and to practice as much as possible at home.

What if my child doesn’t like their instrument and wants to try something else? Can we swap?

No problem.  We would be more than happy to help find the right instrument for your student.

Do you have recitals and how much do they cost?

We believe preforming builds self esteem and confidence for any student of music. We offer open mic nights free to students every tentative Friday night. Generally are held from 5-7PM. Please call or text (954) 900 9953 to inquire about any given week.

I don't have any musical background or ability; can I still help my child practice?

No musical experience is required to help your child practice.  Our instructors do everything they can to ensure that students have a clear practice program and work with parents to ensure quality practice time.

Why is there a registration fee?

The registration fee is $20. This helps cover the cost of necessary teaching staff, materials, such as classroom supplies and printed music.

What if I call in to cancel on the same day?

We do not offer credit for same day cancellations. We will do our best to accomodate at an earlier or later time. Our instructors prepare their week in advance to come out to the school for each individual student. If you miss your lesson, you are welcome to ask for homework. In order to recieve credit you will have to let us know by calling, texting, emailing us at least one day in advance. This is important to give us enough time to coordinate for a make up session.

We

What if I miss a lesson or go on vacation for a week?

Our policy allows to reschedule any lesson with a day in advance notice. Please advise us in advance to ensure that you will be able to redeem your credits.

What if I miss a lesson due to a hurricane or an unscheduled school closure?

In the event of a natural disaster causing the absence of a scheduled appointment, we will credit the missed lessons toward the following month’s tuition.

Can I change my time once I start my lessons?

No problem.  We are more than happy to help you find a time that works for everyone.  Lessons are booked monthly and the new time would be booked for the following month.

Do you offer a free trial lesson?

We have found it unsustainable for a small business to offer free professional services.

Here's how it works. Sign up for lessons, pay the registration fee, and have up to the end of your second scheduled class to ask for a full refund (including your registration). In essence, we offer you two complete lessons to test our service and make an informed decision if you wish to continue to learn with us.
